OBITUARY Buddy Havens February 17, 1941 – October 3, 2018 Hubert “Buddy” Havens, 77, Colorado City, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 17, 1941 in Sacremento, New Mexico to Marion and Veona Priest Havens. Buddy was a man who enjoyed life, always making sure to spend as much time with family as he could, especially making the babies smile as he took them for rides on his golf cart out at the lake.

Buddy was a man who worked hard for living driving a truck for 46 years until he retired. Other than driving around on his golf cart, Buddy enjoyed fishing, drinking beer, sitting on the porch admiring the beauty that surrounded him at the lake and going horse-back riding. He was a man who enjoyed making memories that will make those that were closest to him smile for years.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary “Honey” Havens of Colorado City, and by his children Wesley Havens, Rhonda Desrosiers and husband Ken, Ranae Blackerby and husband Greg, Stevie Ward, Chrissy Ward, and Alva Garcia. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, as well as by his brothers James Havens and wife Nedra, and Bill Brooks and wife Nita, and by a sister Barbara Bedingfield. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, by a son Ray Dale Havens, sister Shirley Havens, and by a brother Richard Havens.

A memorial service for Buddy will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 1pm at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home. The family will be present for a visitation from 12 noon until the time of the service. Those wishing may share a memory or pay online condolences by visiting www.
