C. Van’s Obituary Carroll “Van” Woods, 81 of Flower Mound, born August 18, 1937, went to be with his heavenly family February 27, 2019 after a courageous fight with Alzheimer’s disease. Van was a Veteran of the United States Air force. He started working at Otis Engineering in the 1960’s and retired from Halliburton ESG/Otis Eng in 1993.

After retirement he started in his own lawn service, which he loved and enjoyed making new friends. His son, Curtis, followed in his footsteps. He was a loving husband, father, granddad, great granddad and a great friend.

He enjoyed family gatherings, BBQ’s, his favorite thing was beating you in a game of washers, in which he did often. He was a hunter, fisherman, and a very kind gentle loving man. He enjoyed birdwatching on his back porch and watching football and baseball with his family.

Van is survived by his daughter, Connie and husband, David Sheedy, son, Curtis Woods and wife, Laura, daughter, Debbie Ellis, grandchildren, Cheyenne, Colton, Travis, Alan, Ryan, Justin, Rachel, and Katie, daughter in law Mamie Woods and many great grandchildren. Many other nephews and nieces not mentioned. He was preceded in death by his Maternal parents Ripley Baxter Woods, Flonnie Mae Woods, brothers Charles Woods, Tom Woods and sister Zeta Rolan, son, Tony Woods.

Grandson’s David Ellis and Josh Woods. The family will be having a private memorial in his home town in Milam County – TX, at a later date.
