Obituary for Cameron Bennett DeWitt Cameron Bennett DeWitt never knew a stranger. He was a friend to every person he ever met, and a friend-waiting-to-happen to the people he had not met yet. He never passed up an opportunity to perform an act of kindness, give a bear hug, or crack a joke.

He was known to his friends and family as a gentle, jolly giant who loved nothing more than the outdoors and his doggie best friend, Jeezy. If your car was stuck, he would be the first call you made, because you knew he would drop anything to help someone in need. He loved overly complex board games, hunting, fishing and building anything and everything he could dream of.

He was a born artist and athlete. Cameron loved to travel and had the ability to turn anything into an adventure. He leaves behind his parents, Jill and Mark DeWitt and his little sister, Taylor DeWitt, who he insisted on calling “Tay Tay”.

To say he was loved is a gross understatement. Donations in Cameron’s name can be made to The Wildlife Conservation Society or Winning the Fight. The memorial service for Cameron will be Saturday June 16 at 2 pm at Flower Mound Funeral Home.
