Obituary for Carl “Bud” Wyatt Dateline Jasper, IN Carl “Bud” Wyatt, age 81, of Jasper, Indiana, went to meet the Lord at 2:57 a.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at home surrounded by his children and his wife. Bud was born in Petersburg, Indiana, to Thomas and Berniece (Kirk) Wyatt on May 5, 1937. He married Brenda Wells on November 1, 1963, at Monroe City Presbyterian Church.

He was a man of great Christian faith and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and walked with him daily. This was the cornerstone of his life. He graduated from Oakland City University.

While attending college he worked third shift at Ashby Yards, the New York Central Rail office in Petersburg, Indiana. After graduation he was offered a position at the railroad and he accepted it and made a career of 34 years working there. During that 34 years he saw the New York Central become Penn Central and then changing again to Conrail before retiring as Assistant Trainmaster.

He was a member of the Indiana National Guard for six and a half years. Bud was an avid fan of IU basketball and Colts football and also enjoyed watching college basketball and football. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Wyatt, Jasper, IN, two children, Janine (Kelly)Walters, Leesburg, IN, and Thomas Wyatt, Jasper, IN, two granddaughters, Karly (Wayne) Noble, Cincinnati, OH, and Jenna Walters, Colorado Springs, CO, two great grandchildren, one sister, Sharlene Claridge, Petersburg, IN, two nephews, Kent (Tricia) and Phillip (Jody) Claridge, Petersburg, IN, three nieces, Vickie (Ron) Neveu, Gilman, IL, Judy (Terry) McCoy, Monroe City, IN, and Angie (Martin) Dreiman, Monroe City, IN.

A funeral service for Carl “Bud” Wyatt will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana. Rev. Joe Esarey will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Online condolences may be made at www.
