Obituary for James L. “Jim” Barrow Dateline Jasper, IN James L. “Jim” Barrow, age 81 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana. Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 30, 1937 to Irvin and Beatrice (Hunter) Barrow. He married Sidney Ann Freudenberg on January 22, 1978 in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

She preceded him in death on January 26, 2012. For most of his life, he worked as a Parts Manager for several automotive parts stores. Jim was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, where he served as the council president in 2013 and sang in the choir.

He was also a member of Jasper Outdoor Recreation, where he served as a director, the Jasper Moose Lodge, the American Legion Post #147, the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles, and B.A.S.S. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving is one daughter, Susan Freudenberg, Deerfield Beach, FL, one son, James Freudenberg, Wellington, FL, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Preceding him in death beside his wife was one son, Steven Freudenberg, one granddaughter, Nina Brumbaugh, two brothers, Tom Barrow, and Irvin Barrow Jr., and one sister, Juanita. Funeral services for James L. Barrow will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Emmanuel Hill Cemetery in Dubois, IN.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society, or a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.
