Carl Joe Guardia Passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home with family be his side. Survived by two sons Carl (Barbara) and Dennis (Patricia) Guardia; grandchildren Geri, Carl (Elizabeth), Valerie (Holly), Erin, Andrew (Joy); great grandchildren Jacob, Quintin, Maleah, Molly, Melody and Ethan; step son David Kambic. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Loving and devoted husband to his first wife of 57 years Mary Guardia; second wife of 12 years Rose Guardia. Also preceded in death by one daughter JoAnn Guardia; parents Carl and Elizabeth Guardia; one sister Laverne. Born in Mt.

Olive, IL, a Joliet resident most of his life. W.W. II Navy Veteran serving in the Submarine Corp. Retired from Nalco Chemical.

Member of Stone City Post # 2199 V.F.W. Joe was an avid golfer and loved to watch his great grandchildren play baseball and football. He enjoyed traveling and puzzles. Funeral Services will be held, Saturday February 23, 2019 at 12 noon at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.

Visitation Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. until time of services. As per Joe’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
