Carlis Noble Ragland Sr. was born June 15, 1920 in Hugheston, West Virginia, (outside of Lewisburg) to the parents of Robert James Ragland and Mary Virginia (Boone). On Thursday, April 12, 2018, Carlis Ragland Sr. was called HOME to rest. At an early age, he moved to Montclair, NJ where he later became employed at General Motors in Linden, NJ until he retired after decades of service.

He always owned a shiny new Cadillac as he enjoyed a long full LIFE. Carlis, was a dedicated member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. He always invited his children to worship with him on special occasions.

Carlis Ragland leaves to cherish his memory: Brother, William Maxwell (Uncle Tang) Ragland and Sister, Cassie (Christopher) Logan. (Late Wife Georgiana) son, Robert W. Ragland (Ida) (Late Wife Beatrice) daughter (Late) Patricia Ragland, son (Late) Carlis N. Ragland, Jr. (Mary Ann) & (Rita), son, Jessie Ragland (Cecelia), daughter, Brenda (Larry) Cole, daughter, Josephine (William) Terry, daughter, Elmer (Ellis Sr.) Daniels. Late wife Mable Ragland.

Carlis is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren. A host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
