His love for his children was great and was shown in his dedication to them through care, affection and discipline. Carlos is survived by a fiancé Nydia Colon; two sons Jesus M. Cruz and Carlos M. Cruz, Jr.; two daughters in law Jaqueline Lopez and Anell Cruz; and three grandchildren Jordynn, Jaylene and Mia. A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home, J Street & Erie Avenue.

A service of Comfort will be officiated by Rev. Angelo Hernandez. On Monday, April 30, 2018 the family will gather again at the Rodriguez Funeral Home to assemble in procession at 1 pm to bury his cremated remains at Greenmount Cemetery.
