OBITUARY Carlton Thomas Hall Jr. June 7, 1938 – January 21, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of Carlton Thomas Hall Jr. announces his passing after a long illness, on January 21, 2019 at the age of 80. Carl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Judith; and his children, Tina (Nick), Karen, and Mitchell; brothers, Edsel (Judith) and Daniel; sister, Sherry; four grandsons, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Carl was predeceased by his mother and father, Carlton T. Hall and Gladys E. Singleton, and sister, Margaret Pagen.

In 1967 Carl began his career as owner of Windy Hill Market, a small grocery store located on Route 60 in James City County. He and the family operated the store until it was sold in 1990. He also became involved in subcontracting the family’s four homes, an auto salesperson, and loved deep sea fishing.

A Celebration of Carl’s life will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd. , Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, January 26 at 2 PM. Gathering of family and friends will follow.
