OBITUARY Carmello Occhipinti March 29, 1936 – September 26, 2018 Carmello Occhipinti 82 of Toms River passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Born in North Bergen, he was raised in West New York before moving to Toms River in 2011. Carmello was a fire fighter for the Town of West New York for 37 years and served as a Captain, he later served as the Fire Inspector.

He was a Lifetime member of the VFW and served as the Holiday Heights Code Committee Chairman. He was also an avid woodworker. Carmello was predeceased by a daughter Stepahnie Caroll.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years Arlene Hass Occhipinti. A son Carmello Jr and his wife Donna. 2 daughters: Daryn Mascolo and her husband John and Tina Ternyila and her husband Tom all of South Plainfield.

2 brothers: Pasquale and Thomas Occhipinti. Also by 8 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday for 6-8 pm and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.

A funeral service will be held on Monday 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
