Carmen M. Santiago, 77, of Hammond, IN, passed away early Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Franciscan St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, IN. She was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico on April 25, 1941 to Vincent and Juana Milagro (Gonzalez) Lopez. She married the love of her life, Miguel A. Santiago, Sr. on June 21, 1957 and he survives.

She is also survived by her children, Miguel A. Santiago, Jr., Nancy (Jorge) Santiago, David Santiago, Robert Santiago, Pablo Santiago, Diana (Juan) Guerrero, and Melisa Santiago, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and dear friends. She loved to crochet, read the Bible and loved family. She also loved visitors.

She was also a lover of flowers. The family will receive friends and family on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 – 219 980-5555 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN Carmen will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
