Obituary for Carol A. Byers Carol A. Byers, 71, of Wrightsville died peacefully at home, Saturday, December 8, 2018. Born in Philadelphia on November 12, 1947, she was the daughter of Pauline (Campbell) Fritz of Wrightsville and the late Oliver Fritz. Carol was the loving wife and best friend of Theodore W. Byers, to whom she was married for 47 years.

Carol retired from Franklin and Marshall College where she served as the assistant to the college president. Carol was a former member of Faith Outreach Center Assembly of God in Marietta, where she played the piano and organ. After moving to Wrightsville, she became a member of Wrightsville Assembly of God.

Carol enjoyed needlepoint and traveling with her husband Ted. She especially enjoyed their trips to the Poconos, becoming fond of the area after honeymooning there. Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her daughter, Emily K. Byers at home; her son, Steven F. Byers of Smyrna, DE; her sister, Sharon Young and her husband, Patrick of Wrightsville; and her beloved granddaughter Abigail Byers. A service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Wrightsville Assembly of God, 365 Orange Street, Wrightsville, PA 17368 with Pastor Aaron McNatt officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.

There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in Carol’s memory be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 706 Rothsville Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
