Obituary for Carol Avis Two Lance-Piper (Two Lance) Carol Avis Two Lance-Piper was born on September 26, 1986 in Pine Ridge, SD to Lisa Lone Hill and Calvin Two Lance. Carol made her journey to the Spirit World on March 1, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Carol was loved, known, and respected by many.

She loved to laugh, smile, and helped a lot of people. Carol grew up with Courtney Two lance, Melanie Grinnell, Jannelle, Sonya Charging Thunder, and Dave and Jarrod Charging Thunder, whom she called brothers and sisters. Everything thing Carol did was family oriented, she was her father’s first daughter so she was spoiled by many.

She had a lot of cousins that she was very close to and made many memories with them. Carolyn Romero was one of her close cousins, whom Carol called sister. Carol went to Red Rock Canyon School in Utah where she made a lot of impact and made many friends she called family.

Carol was married to Derrick Comes Flying, Sr. and had three boys, Wakinyan Watakpe Wahokiza Numpa, and Derrick Comes Flying, Jr. Carol recently remarried to Pharron Piper, and had two beautiful daughters whom she cherished, Charlene Piper and Coral Piper; and two step daughters, Shoshanna and Jamilia Piper whom she loved as her own. Carol was adopted in by Florence Janis and had four adopted brothers, James, Loren, and Fred LaDeaux, and David Red Cloud. Carol enjoyed the presence of all her nieces and nephews and she will be dearly missed by all her family.

Carol is survived by mother, Lisa Lone Hill; siblings, Travis Lone Hill, Melissa Benoist, Marissa Pulliam, BJ Smoke, and Larissa Lone Hill; hunka brothers, DJ Shangreaux, Dennis Shott, Jr., and Shungila Sapa Johnson; hunka sisters, Lisa Shangreaux, Latonya Looks Twice, Raven Shott, Tatanka Win Shott, and He Sapa Waste Win Two Bulls; hunka mother, Blossom Johnson; aunts, Eva Last Horse, Ethel Victor, Jovita Seda, Lucy Seda, and Rita Charging Thunder; uncles, Rico Seda and Lloyd Charging Thunder; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Calvin “Big C” Two lance; siblings, David Two Lance and Quency Lone Hill; her baby boy, Baby Piper; grandparents, David and Cecelia Charging Thunder, Edgar Lone Hill, and Norma Looks Twice; uncles, Gordy Lone Hill, Vincent Two Lance, Jr., and Edgar Lone Hill; aunts, Mabel Two Lance, Mable Two Lance, and Vestana Red Owl-Two Lance; uncle, Vincent Two Lance; niece, Gabrielle Pulliam; and nephew, Gabriel Pulliam.
