Carol E. Ames, 79, of Hoernerstown, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. Born September 11, 1939 in Hoernerstown, she was a daughter of the late Paul E., Sr. and Olive M. (Moyer) Engroff. She retired as a secretary from the Commonwealth Court and previously worked for the House of Representatives.

Surviving are her son Shawn C. Ames of Hoernerstown; brother Paul E. Engroff, Jr. of Newport; and sisters Terry J. Huntsberger of Lewes, Delaware and Mary L. Landvater of Landisburg. A viewing will be held 1:00 – 2:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Buse Funeral Home, 2 East Main Street, Hummelstown. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 4855 Londonderry Road, Harrisburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
