Obituary for Carol Henningsen Carol Henningsen, 73 of Colts Neck, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Carol was born on January 24, 1945 in East Orange, New Jersey to Bernese Werner and the late John Werner. Carol was raised in Irvington and would go on to graduate from Irvington High School Class of 1962.

She met the love of her life Harry Henningsen and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary before Harry’s passing in April of 2013. Carol worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Underwriting Department at Prudential Insurance Company in Holmdel. Carol raised her family in Old Bridge.

She and her family were a part of a group of original parishioners who became Most Holy Redeemer Parish in Matawan NJ. Carol and Harry would retire to Little Egg Harbor in 2003. In Little Egg Harbor, Carol was a member of the Red Hat Society, and also a member of the Cranbury Creek Homeowners Association.

Carol was a loving mother, and grandmother. She would attend all dance recitals, competitions and sporting events. She will be missed by all who were blessed to have had her in their lives.

Carol was pre -deceased by her beloved husband Harry, by her father John Werner, and by her brother -in-law William Henningsen. Carol is survived by her loving children, Lisa LaConte, Kim Miller and her husband Timothy; Jim Henningsen and his wife Deanna and her loving mother, Bernese Werner; by her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Kaitlyn LaConte, Taylor Miller, Nicholas LaConte, Mackenzie Miller, Cameron Henningsen, and Mia Henningsen, by her caring siblings, Nancy Kloman and her husband Paul, Marylou Burt, Joan Ryan and John Werner and his wife Kate, her caring sister -in -law, Valerie Henningsen, and by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Most Holy Redeemer Church located at 133 Amboy Road Matawan, New Jersey 07747.

Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in memory of Carol are made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater New Jersey.
