Carol (Stevenson) Holcomb, 88, of South Portsmouth, KY, died Sunday September 16, 2018 at her home. She was born August 12, 1930 in South Portsmouth, KY to the late Homer Edward and Minnie Dovie (Webb) Stevenson. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by brothers Clyde Stevenson, Homer Stevenson Jr, Harry Stevenson, Wilford Neil Stevenson and sisters Rachel Stevenson, Pauline Childers, Ina Stevenson, and infant sisters Margarite and Myrtle.

She is survived by her… Read More » loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Earl Holcomb, six children; Deborah Wright, Cathy (Don) Gullett, Valerie (Danny) Meenach, Cristi (Randy) Berry, David (Donna) Holcomb and Danny (Yvonne) Holcomb, Also survived by 15 grandchildren: Heather Morrison and Bradley (Danica) Wright, Donald Gullett Jr. (Missy), Tracey (Drew) Rapp, Angela (Mark) Defoe, Brooke (Ryan) Wells, Carrie (Andrew)Gullett, Casey Meenach (Will McCall), Hannah and Jackson Berry, Cassandra (Cory) Hicks, Alex (Kristen) Holcomb, Rachel (Sean) Affareaux, Sarah Holcomb (Patrick Sandefer), Daniel Holcomb(Stephanie Long), and 13 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Elma) Stevenson, Anna Louise Evans, and Chlotine Roderick. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord; she dedicated her life to her husband and family. She was a wonderful homemaker and made her home the hub of our lives.

She was the true matriarch of the family. 23 Memorial services will be held Tuesday September 18, 2018 from 6pm to 8 pm at MORTON FUNERAL HOME in South Shore, KY. with Darrell Stephenson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th St. Portsmouth, OH 45662.
