Obituary for Carol Jean Sonnier (Benoit) Carol Jean Benoit Sonnier, 68, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on November 16, 2018 surrounded by those she loved most. She will be remembered as a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time working in her flower beds, cooking for her beloved family, and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren.
She was filled with life, had a vibrant personality, and was the life of the party. Carol never met a stranger and was generous to everyone she met. Carol is predeceased by her parents, Nolan Wade and Bertha Simmons Benoit.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 49 nine years Ray Allen Sonnier, daughter, Brandi Marceaux and husband Ryan of Broussard, LA , son Chad Sonnier and wife Kristi of Lake Charles, grandchildren: Karli Sonnier, Cory Sonnier, and Lily Marceaux, sister, Susan Baillio and husband Greg of Lindale, TX, her three nieces, Jessica Gordon, Scarlet Jarnigan, and Sara Beth Sanderson, uncle, Sam Benoit and his daughters, Melissa Welch and Suzette Leonards and their mother Delores Benoit. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of service in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on until time of service.
