Coles departed this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on August 24, 1946, to the late Henry Johnson Sr. and Elaine Ware Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Coles Sr

She is survived by her children, Celeste Coles and Roger Coles Jr.; and three grandchildren, Kasime Coles, Da’Cel Coles and Ciara Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family is receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the funeral home and other times at 1107 Pierce St. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2019, at Jackson Street UMC. Her remains will be open one hour prior to the service.
