Of Belle Vernon, on Monday, January 21, 2019, Carol was the devoted mother of Charles Mason (Ann) and Daniel Mason; loving daughter of the late Gordon and Alma Bennett Stewart; comforting sister of Norma Barger (Bill), Fran DeWitt (late Jim), Betty Jane Mueller (late Carl), Joanne Noechel, Bob Stewart (Mary Ann) and the late Vida Lardin (Bill); grandmother of Christina Scipione, Tiffany Mason, Heather Mason, Steffany Mason and Michelle Eckert; spoiling great-grandmother of Verne Holden Douglas Campbell “Holden”. Carol was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman who will be missed so dearly. Gramma Carol enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, playing cards, scrabble and spending time with her grandchildren.

She especially loved spending time with her great grandchild Holden, who so effortlessly brought out Carol’s sweet smile. A special thank you to her granddaughter Steffany who took special care of grandma in her final months. A memorial service will be held on Sunday from 5-7 PM at Charles and Ann’s home.

Arrangements were by Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Shaler Twp.
