Beloved husband of 63 years of Joan C. (Sand) Schaffold; loving father of Diana (Edward) Senge, Darlene Bailey and Christine (Stan) Klodowski; devoted grandpap of Charles (Nikolette) and Catherine Senge, Christopher (fiancee Autumn) and Justin Klodowski, David Sweazen and Michael (Brittany) Bailey; cherished pappy of Thomas, Olivia, Victoria and Michael Senge, Landon, Carter and Blake Klodowski; brother of the late Robert Schaffold. Charles was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Charles retired after 44 years with Teledyne Firth Sterling. He loved sports and music.
