Sister M. Florence Therese Sarnowski February 08, 1927 – January 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card A member of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for 70 years, died at age 91 on January 16. A native of Pittsburgh, she taught elementary grades at schools in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Alabama. She also served as Director of Financial Affairs at St. Luke Institute, Suitland, Maryland and at St. Augustine Academy in Lakewood, Ohio and in Human Res in Pittsburgh.

She was the first director of Holy Family Learning Center in Pittsburgh. She is survived by a brother, Marian Sarnowski of Los Angeles, California and by nieces and nephews. Viewing will take place at Holy Family Manor, 301 Nazareth Way, Ross Township on Friday, January 18 from 3:00 PM until the Wake Service at 6:30 PM.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Family Manor chapel on Saturday, January 19 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, 310 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
