Obituary for Carol McAlister Steeland Carol McAliste Steeland, 68, passed away on May 2, 2018. she was born June 19, 1949 in Hobbs, NM to Ruby Genevieve Deforest McAlister and Jim Jeffries McAlister and moved to Houston, Texas, shortly thereafter. She graduated from Galena Park High School, in 1967.

though she has multiple jobs. as a secretary and later a small business owner, she was first a loving mother and devoted wife. She often said her greatest accomplishments in life were her three girls.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Jim Jeffries McAlister and Ruby Genevieve McAlister, and her husband Robert J. Steeland. She is survived by her three children, Julia Christine Persky, Murl Genevieve (Jennie) Persky JOhnson and her husband Edward Johnson and their children Lance Edward and Lacie Genevienve; Elizabeth Janelle Steeland and her husband Darrel Lewing and their daughter Adrienne Elizabeth Lewing. Kind and generous, Carol had a beautiful and loving spirit.
