Obituary for Dennis Alton Lovell Dennis Alton Lovell, age 77 of Houston entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2018. He was born on July 27, 1940 to John Milton Lovell and Faye Theresa Miller in Austin TX. On May 18th, his late wife’s birthday, Dennis Alton Lovell left to be with his bride Bertha and the lord.
A standard bearer as a father and husband, Dennis passed away at his home early in the day and is survived by his seven children – John Lovell (Eileen), Rebecca Barrios (Jesse), Michael Lovell (Pamela), Kathryn Lovell, James Lovell, Mary Tillery (David), and Darrell Lovell (Amy). An eager patriarch, he also is survived by his grandchildren – Ronny, Christopher (Melissa), Jessica (Brian), John (Kristyna), Wesley (Brigitte), Samantha (Jeffrey), Austin, Alyssa, Andrew, Lauren (Keven), Nicholas (Melissa), Joshua, and Ari – and great-grandchildren – Emma, Trent, Riley, Mia, Ellie, Gunner, Jackson, Adalyn, and Mya. A Marine and avid bowler, Dennis touched the lives of not only his family but friends in large and small ways.
His honesty and loyalty made those around him feel wanted and marked a life well-lived. In honor of his service to his country, he will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery where he will join Bertha to begin the next part of their journey. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018, 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm with an evening service beginning at 7:00 pm and Friday, May 25, 2018, 9 am – 10 am at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas The funeral procession will be departing at 10:15 am Friday, May 25, 2018 to The Houston National Cemetery for Interment.
