Obituary for Caroldeene McBride Funeral services for Caroldeene McBride, age 88, of Pima, will be conducted Friday May 18th at 2:00 p.m., at the Pima LDS Chapel on Highway 70, with the viewing starting at 1:00 p.m. Caroldeene passed away in her home on May 14th while being cared for by her family. Caroldeene was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 28, 1929, to Fred and Ida Nelson Russell. She was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many auxiliaries.

She also served with her husband, Keith McBride, in the Mesa Arizona Temple. She taught Second Grade in Pima Elementary School for many years and finished her teaching career at Ft. Thomas Elementary.

She loved teaching reading, math, music and patriotism. After her retirement, her teaching did not stop. She continued teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren music, reading, math and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Caroldeene is remembered as a great of strength to her family in the example of the way she led her life. Caroldeene is survived by: her husband of 69 years, Keith McBride; her 5 children, Russell Kim McBride, Diane Hoopes (Daniel), Renee Hansen (Ken), Jo Hughes (Jason) and Eric Keith McBride; her 11 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
