Carole L. Lewis, formerly of Waupaca, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019. She was born February 12, 1940 in Detroit, MI; the daughter of Tom and Kathryn Lewis. Carole had an amazing sense of humor and an unconditional love for family and friends.

She was a classy woman who loved her jewelry and shoes. Carole was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards. It also wasn’t hard to get her to go to the casino to play the penny slots.

In her later years, she enjoyed visiting Florida and liked to watch the sunset. Carole worked at Winnebago Co. Social Services in the older adults’ unit for a number of years. After retiring, she kept active helping older adults at Arc Angels.

She is survived by six loving children; twenty-four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tom, Tim and Mike; and three sisters, Patsy, Mimi and Mary Kay. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Kathryn Lewis; her sister, Jane Davies; a brother-in-law, Paul Mittelstaedt; and a son-in-law, Chris Doyle. Mom touched many lives and is forever in our hearts.

Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Carole’s Life will be on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Par 4 Resort, 201 Foxfire Drive, Waupaca, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
