Carole’s Obituary Carole L. Mitchell was born on June 7, 1950 in Fresno, CA to Elwood and Imogene Ollenberger. She attended Sierra High School in Tollhouse, CA and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Master’s Degree in History and a second Master’s Degree in Greek Civilization, all at Fresno Pacific University. She was also named the prestigious title of Fullbright Scholar.

After college she pursued a career in education where she taught, mentored and inspired so many. Carole married John K. Mitchell of Corcoran, CA and the two raised four children on a cotton farm. On the farm she loved her garden and would spend hours planting and nurturing fruit and vegetables.

What Carole loved most was travel. She took her family on many memorable trips throughout the years and instilled a love for travel within all her children and grandchildren. Carole’s friendships were of great importance to her as well as her family life, and she found close friends everywhere she went.

Carole is preceded in death by her husband John K. Mitchell, and her parents Elwood and Imogene Ollenberger. She is survived by her four children Denise Tillman, Dennis Mitchell, David Mitchell and Jennifer Mitchell; her 8 grandchildren Hannah Tillman, Samuel Tillman, Grant Tillman, Kendall Mitchell, Hazel Larsen, Jaxon Larsen, Harper Mitchell and Presley Mitchell; and her 2 brothers Rodney and John Ollenberger.
