Carolyn Jean (Gutbrod) Pappas age 88 of Eagle Crest Dr. in Byrdstown, TN passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1930 in Columbus, OH to Charles Gutbrod and Ruth Hann Gutbrod. She attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a housewife and mother.

Carolyn is survived by (2) Sons: James Anthony Pappas Jr. and Wife: Ann L. , Anthony Nick Pappas and Wife: Sandra ; (7) Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Charles and Ruth Gutbrod Hann ; Husband: James Anthony Pappas ; (1) Brother: James Gutbrod ; (1) Sister: Harriett Harbage.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Randy Heady officiating and burial in Amonett Cemetery.
