OBITUARY Carolyn Jean Voelkel December 19, 1944 – September 18, 2018 Carolyn Jean Voelkel, 73, of Hallettsville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Hallettsville Nursing & Rehab in Hallettsville, Texas. Graveside Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 3:30 pm at Shiner City Cemetery in Shiner, Texas with Reverend Barbara Beale officiating. Carolyn was born on December 19, 1944 in Cuero, Texas.

She was the daughter of Victor and Lois (Crawford) Voelkel. Carolyn liked going for walks, reading and doing Find A Word puzzles. She graduated from Shiner High School in 1965 where she was a member of the Honor Society.

Carolyn is survived by her brother, Richard Voelkel and his companion, Penny Bender of Hallettsville, Texas.
