Carolyn Mae Burkey October 18, 1934—February 9, 2019 Carolyn Mae Burkey, 84, of Philomath, OR, went to be with the Lord in her home, on February 9, 2019 at 3:00pm. She was born to Melvin and Emily (Kilmer) Mishler on October 18, 1934 in Sheridan, Oregon. She was married to Alfred William Burkey on August 28, 1954.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord Jesus and her church communities. Carolyn worked part-time as an x-ray technician.

She enjoyed the weekly Bible studies, spending time with her family, entertaining in her home, word puzzles, TV game shows, playing games and volunteering at the school. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Alfred Burkey. Her children: son, Gregg (Debbie) Burkey, daughters Anita Stephenson, Emily Jan Burkey and Angela (Tim) Wenger, 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, brothers Robert (Nellie) Mishler, Stan (Ellen) Mishler along with in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

We will all miss her sweet spirit and warm smile. A viewing will be from 4 to 6pm Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 10am Friday at Fairview Mennonite Church.
