OBITUARY Carrol “Ernie” Ernest Jarvis May 10, 1938 – July 18, 2018 Carrol “Ernie” Jarvis passed away on July 18th, 2018. He was born to the late Olan and Marie Jarvis on May 10th, 1938 in Lamar, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Kathleen, their two children Michael Jarvis and Melissa Strauser (Michael Strauser), grandchildren Anthony Jarvis, Corey Mayer, and Kaitlin Strauser, and siblings Constance Moore and Mark Jarvis.

He was preceded in death by sister Mary Jarvis. Ernie started his military service with the Marines. After his service, he moved to Kansas City where he met Kathleen.

Ernie’s passion for airplanes started at an early age and led to a lifetime career as a pilot, mechanic, engineer, business owner, and safety inspector-serving with the Air Force Reserves, Federal Aviation Administration, and personal business Dean’s Aviation. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and devout friend. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Peace Lutheran Church.
