Obituary for Carroll Eugene “Speedy” Blackburn Carroll Eugene “Speedy” Blackburn, 65, of Effingham, SC, left his earthly home and returned to his heavenly home on December 9, 2018. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathryn of 30 years; step-daughter, Danielle (Chad) Byrd; three grandsons, Chandler, Brysen and Jonah; sister, Brenda (Wayne) Hinson; mother-in-law, Pauline Smith; sister-in-law, Rochelle (Joseph) Dunn; numerous nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Chad Powell. He is predeceased by his parents, Carroll and Effie, and his brother, Donald.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM. – 12:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
