Obituary for Casey Joseph McGlade At the age of 47, Casey Joseph McGlade, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away early in the morning on Sunday April 8th, 2018 due to health complications. Casey is survived by his daughter Makayla McGlade of Omaha, NE. His fiancé, Tracy Blankenship of Mesa, AZ & her children Courtney & Josh Foster of Mesa, AZ.

Step-son’s Brendan Hogan and William Werth of Mesa, AZ and two grandsons Xzavier & Zakai Foster. His sister Nancy Bussing-Sweeny of Council Bluffs, IA. Brother Lyle McGlade of Council Bluffs, IA and his mother Joanne Bussing of Council Bluffs, IA.

He is preceded in death by his father Lyle McGlade Sr. Casey was born on August 19th, 1970 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and was adopted by Joanne Bussing & Lyle McGlade Sr He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1988. After graduation Casey decided to join the Marines, where he was infantry from 1988 to 1992.

Casey then attended Penn State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. After moving to Omaha, NE, Casey began working for Continental Fire Protection as a Sprinkler Fitter and was employed there for 22 years. His friends and family remember him as an intelligent and hardworking man who was always there for everyone.

Casey was accomplished in school, at sports, and providing for his family. He was a generous man who would do anything for his family. He was also passionate about sports.

Throughout his life, he was either participating in or coaching sports. He was a member of multiple softball teams and played in semi pro baseball. On top of his love for sports he also enjoyed time outdoors.

Whether it was enjoying walks outside, swimming with the family, or hunting, he was always on the go.
