Obituary for Catherine A. “Kay” Cross (McSweeney) Catherine (Kay) Cross, age 79 of Darien, WI passed away to eternal life at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Catherine was born December 10, 1938 in Delavan, WI daughter of the late John Walter and Rachel (Smith) McSweeney. She married Leonard Cross on July 16, 1960 at St. Andrews Church in Delavan, WI, he preceded her in death.

After marriage they moved out to Long Island, NY were Catherine was a teacher. Eventually they moved back to the Darien/Delavan area where they became longtime residents. Catherine is survived by her children James Cross and Julie Cavaliere as well as grandchildren Joe, Chris, Kaylie, Cory and Abby.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church (714 Walworth Ave, Delavan) with Fr. Michael Dineen Officiating.
