Catherine L. Rupert, age 67, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, a strong warrior battling ovarian cancer since 2012, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Sewickley, PA on March 31, 1951 to the late Norman T. and Erma (McCarriher) Rupert. Beloved sister of Norma Rupert and Donald McCarriher (the late Roberta); cherished aunt to Tracey McCarriher all of Coraopolis; loving niece of Blanche Rupert of Sewickley, nephews by heart Adam and Daniel Szabat; also survived by many cousins and friends.

A member of the West Highland White Terrier Club of America, Catherine proudly showed and raised “Westies”. Catherine was a member of St. Joseph Church and always supported the festival. For over 43 years, she worked in the foreign exchange department of Mellon Bank/BNY Mellon.

She was an avid Steeler’s fan and loved doing needlepoint and crafts. Visitation Thursday 12-3:30 PM and 6-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where prayers will be recited on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church.

Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery. Because of Catherine’s love of animals, the family suggests donations in her name to Animal Friends.
