OBITUARY Catherine Pickett May 13, 1934 – July 19, 2018 Play Tribute Movie CATHERINE PICKETT, 84, of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was born on May 13th, 1934 in Colt, AR. She was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.

She was a graduate of Wynne High School, Class of 1951. She was a homemaker and an avid sports fan. She especially liked following the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys.

She spent many years watching her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing sports. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Carroll Pickett, one sister, Frances Head of Conway, 4 sons: Russell (Toni) Pickett, Jerry (Denise) Pickett, Don (Cindy)Pickett and Phil (Michele)Pickett; 8 grandchildren: Ryan (Amanda) Pickett, Eric (Jennifer) Pickett, Brandy (Brad) Fischer, Andrew (Samantha) Pickett, Tyler Pickett, Alexa Pickett, Bryce (Hannah) Pickett and Landon Pickett; 12 great-grandchildren: Braxton Fischer, Krista Pickett, Kayla Pickett, Brodie Fischer, Brooklyn Fischer, Aidan Pickett, Eli Pickett, Abigail Pickett, David Pickett, Millie Pickett, Dawson Pickett and Carter Pickett. She is also survived by brother-in-law Charles (Karen) Pickett and sister-in-law Winona Shaver and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher and Myra Mae Chrisco of Colt, AR and one brother-in-law Vernon Head of Conway. Catherine was born and raised in Colt, AR. She and Carroll were married in 1953.

After Carroll returned from the army, they moved to Little Rock in 1955. Prior to moving to Little Rock and raising her sons, Catherine worked as an accounting clerk at a car dealership in Wynne. Once her sons were born, she was a stay-at-home mom, Cub Scout Leader, PTA worker, scorekeeper for as many games as possible, and a transportation expert—four sons-football, basketball, and baseball.

After her sons were grown and married, she helped raise many of her grandchildren. She spent many hours in her backyard throwing batting practice with whiffle balls to her grandchildren. Catherine and Carroll loved watching sports on TV.

She never missed a televised Dallas Cowboys football game or a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. Catherine and Carroll loved their church and enjoyed spending time with their Sunday School Class at GSFBC. She will be missed by her family and friends.
