Charlene Janiszewski Shirley (nee: McGee) passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018, in Hackensack. She was born in Elizabeth to the late Charlotte (nee: Konzelman) and Hugh McGee and was a long-time Bayonne resident. She graduated from St. John’s University and was a devoted dog lover and avid reader.

She was a technical trainer for Workwave prior to her retirement. Charlene was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Chester Janiszewski and Robert Shirley. She is survived by her loving children, CJ Janiszewski, and his wife, Kerry, Mary Perry, and her husband, Kurt, and Denise Sigelkow, and her husband, Jace; and her cherished grandchildren, Reed and Maeve Janiszewski, Caitlyn and Lauren Perry, J.T., Allyssa, Ire Lynn, and Emma Sigelkow; and her loving family members, Alicia Cox and Juanita Christy.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, December 20, 2018. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church in Bayonne at 9:45 a.m. followed by interment at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
