Announcement that Lt. Charles A. Browdy “Chuck”, on May 4th , went to dance in heaven with his beautiful wife Kathryn Anne Browdy. Chuck retired from a long career at IBM followed by his volunteer service as an assistant fire chief in Fort Morgan, Alabama where he also served a term as the County Commissioner of Gulf Shores.

He was a graduate of Birmingham Southern where he played basketball and graduated with a BS in Geology followed by a law degree. Chuck served as a Navy Reserve officer in the Sixth Naval Division on the USS Estes (AGC-12) from 1954 to 1976, and during Operation Redwing in the Bikini Islands. He leaves behind his four children Cynthia, Leslie, Charlotte, and Billy; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren who all loved their Pop-Pop.
