He was born in Cherokee County, NC, to the late Alvin Jewel Queen and Mary Hickey Queen. Charles served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Riders Post 155.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and helping others. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
