Mr. Charles Brown “Chuck” Chesser III, 63, beloved husband of Cheryl Anne Chesser and a resident of Onley, VA walked graciously into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 26, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Born October 7, 1955 in Nassawadox, VA and a native of Willis Wharf, VA, he was the son of the late Charles Brown Chesser II and Marion Phillips Chesser. Chuck served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and then began his career in law enforcement.

Over the years, he worked as patrol for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and after more than 20 years with NASA, he retired as their Chief of Security. Following retirement, Chuck began working for Walmart and soon became their jack of all trades. He was a licensed ham radio operator, a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America for 8 years and was a devoted member of Baptist Bible Church.

Chuck was invaluable to his family, his church, his community, and to his various career posts. He will be greatly missed for his dedication to all and for the positivity that followed him everywhere he went. In addition to his wife, he is survived by their two sons, Michael Jason Chesser and Brandon Charles Chesser; grandson, Wyatt Charles Chesser; mother-in-law, Carolyn Doiron; sister-in-law, Donna Hinman and her husband Peter; special niece, Crystal Harris, whose love and compassion was felt, both personally and professionally, through her skills as a registered nurse; and many other extended family; as well as church family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Baptist Bible Church, in Accomac, VA, on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Robert Fletcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Bible Church Building Fund, 24577 Front Street, Accomac, VA 23301. Memory tributes may be shared with the family at www.
