Charles Arthur “Bubba” Wright, age 63, resident of Cordova and husband of the late Sandra “Sandy” Wright, departed this life Tuesday evening, December 11, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Service for Mr. Wright will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. John Ed Watkins, pastor of Mercy’s Bridge Church in Somerville, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Eads Cemetery. A visitation for Mr. Wright will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Bubba was born October 8, 1955 in Shelby County, Tennessee.

He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a resident of the Memphis area for much of his life. He was married March 5, 1979 to the former Sandra “Sandy” Glines and he worked in the heating and air conditioning installation business for many years before his retirement in 2015. Bubba was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports.

Mr. Wright is survived by two daughters, Candy Palugi (Mike) of Lakeland, TN, Amber Wright of Cordova, TN; his son, Dallas Wright of Cordova, TN; two sisters, Kay Smith of Eads, TN, Sue Lawrence (Wayne) of Waynesboro, TN; two grandchildren, Cristen Palugi, Alston Palugi; and ten nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Glines Wright who died April 29, 2012; his parents, William Arther Wright and Annie Mae Seagraves Wright; his sister, Ann McCulley; and two brothers, Albert Wright and Daryl Wright. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Dean Smith, Lil Bill McCulley, Alex Wright, Kenneth Wright, Mike Lawrence and Pee Wee Goforth.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1378 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104.
