Obituary for Charles Buddy Dwyer Funeral service for Charles “Buddy” (Bud) Dwyer will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday May 31, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, Claremore. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 1pm-8pm, with family receiving visitors from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Bud passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Claremore.

He was 89. Bud was born in Quinlan, Oklahoma to Clara Ethel Neighbors and Thomas Arthur Dwyer. He was the eighth of nine children.

After high school instead of being drafted, he enlisted in the US Air Force to pick his task of aircraft mechanic and served our country in the Korean War. He then took on the role of Aircraft Mechanic at American Airlines; where he tenured 36 years. He married Agnes Marie “Mitzi” Hedrick on August 15, 1964 and became father to Karen Elaine Dwyer.

Bud enjoyed volunteering his time for Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels and The Manger at First Presbyterian Church in Claremore. Bud and Mitzi were members of the Good Sam’s Club and enjoyed camping all over the US. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Mitzi, 7 siblings, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his daughter Karen Leaver of the home; granddaughters Kari Schwenning and Josh Douglas of Owasso and Kelli Borrell and husband Michael of Edmond; great-grandson Landon Borrell and his sister Joan Hutchinson of Grenola, Kansas.
