Charles Burnell Ellis, 83 of Laurel died Saturday March 9, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. Visitation will be held on Monday March 11, 2019 from 1-3 pm at Memory Chapel. Mr. Ellis is preceded in death by his wife Bessie Ruth Ellis and six brothers.

He was retired from the United States Air Force. He also retired from Jones County Junior College. He was a former Volunteer Fireman with the Powers Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by a son John (Mary Lynne) Ellis is Knoxville, TN. Daughter Helen (Chris) Stephenson of Heidelberg. Two brothers Thomas Ellis of Ashville, N.C. and Frank Ellis of Maryland.
