Charles D. Clark Age 80, of East Sparta, passed away Wed. Dec. 5, 2018.

He was born Dec. 28, 1937, on a farm six miles North of Logan in Phillips County, Kansas, a son of the late Wesley Frank and Edna Lucille (Atkinson) Clark and had been a resident of East Sparta since 1978. He was a 1955 graduate of Enid, OK High School.

Charles had been an owner-operator truck driver, and also drove for Roadway Express, for almost 50 years. Following retirement, he worked for the U. S. Postal Service at the Newmarket Station. Charles was a member of Sandy Valley Eagles #3228, Army-Navy Garrison #1982 in Bolivar, and was a life member of North American Fishing Club.

He served in the U. S. Army from Nov. 1955 to Nov. 1958.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Mary E. Clark, on Aug. 10, 2006, a sister and two brothers, Wilma Reese and James and Walter Clark. He is survived by three daughters and one son, Cathy Thompson (Chuck), Jackie (Larry) Steckman, Robin (Jim) Graves, and Ron (Debbie) Fether; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and one soon to be born.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Dave Naus officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville with Military Honors. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. Condolences may be sent to: www.
