Obituary for Charles “David” Lovell Charles “David” Lovell, 72, went to be with the Lord October 7, 2018 surrounded by family in his home in Groveport OH. David was born on April 26,1946 in Long Island NY. He was the son of Rev.

Charles and Evelyn Lovell, and brother to Ruth Ann Lovell. In 1965, David joined the 338th Army Reserve Band as a trombone player where he served his country honorably, and formed lifelong brotherhood relationships. David was a man of many trades, loved carpentry, and retired after a lengthy career as an owner / operator of CDL Express Freight.

David retired from the Army Reserves in May of 2006. David was a man of strong faith and dedicated service to Madison Christian Church. David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Evelyn, and his sister, Ruth Ann.

David is survived by his wife, Brenda (Pahl) Lovell, daughters, Amanda Lovell and Michelle Stump (Tim Stump), grandchildren, Justin Salzman, Tommy Pike, Felicia Stump, Emily Vince, and great grandson, Levi Salzman, along with his church family and lifelong friends. A special thanks to Capital City Hospice who worked diligently to keep David comfortable in his final days. Calling hours will be Thursday October 11 from 4pm – 7pm at Madison Christian Church (3565 Bixby Rd, Groveport OH, 43125); funeral service Friday October 12 at 11am at Madison Christian Church with military interment at Groveport Cemetery following the services.
