DECATUR — Charles Spence Sr. was called home to be with the Lord on Dec. 10, 2018. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Jasper Street Church of Christ.

Charles was born to Tee Ponzille Spence and Dorothy Magdalene Spence on Oct. 4, 1955. He graduated from Eisenhower in 1974.

He went to Lincoln Land College. He worked at Mueller Co. as a machine repair technician. His parents and sisters, Marsha Sykes and Sandra Spence preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his brother, Howard Spence; sisters, Dr. Ollie (Jerry) Taylor, Judy Spence, JoAnne Spence and Dorothy (Perry) Hines; sons, Charles Spence Jr., Edwin Spence, Myles Spence, Brandon and Brian Body; grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
