Mr. Charles F. Querry, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Wednesday, March 27, 2019 after battling an extended illness. Charles was born on May 10, 1948 in Winamac, IN to Charles F. Sr. and Olive (Cooper) Querry. Charles spent most of his life in South Bend.

On March 26, 1983, he was united in marriage to Linda M. Howsam. He was employed as a city roofer in Elkhart County and later worked as the Press Room Supervisor for Atwood Mobile Products, also in Elkhart. Charles was a proud father, step-father, husband, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.

He was an avid Notre Dame fan and a huge Harley-Davidson enthusiast. Most of all, Charles cherished the time he spent with friends and loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Linda (Howsam) Querry; children Charles F. (Shannon) Querry III of LaPorte, IN and Rachel Querry of Houston, TX; step-children Robert Stewart of South Bend and Crystal (Jeff) Tuttle of Mishawaka; grandchildren Michael, Skyler, Lavell, Cheyenne, Sierra, Taylor and Gracie; sisters Nancy (Nick) Jordan of Rensselaer, IN and Toni Banghart of Mishawaka; brother Robert (Pamela) Querry of Mishawaka; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Querry. Per the family’s wishes, no public services will be held at this time.

The family may gather privately at a later date to celebrate Charles’s life. Memorial contributions may be made in Charles’s honor to Heartland Hospice, 230 W. Catalpa, Suite D, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
