Charles “Frank” Franklin Carr, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at his residence. He was born on December 14, 1932 to the late Willard and Alma Davis Carr.

“Frank” was a native of Mt. Sterling and a former elder at First Church of God. He worked for Delco Remy, a division of General Motors and also a youth director and Sunday School Teacher for Park Place Church of God in Anderson, IN for thirty-three years.

“Frank” had a servants heart and often drove others to their doctor appointments. He loved his weekly prayer group, golf, fishing, spending time on his front porch, traveling to Texas to visit grandchildren and his church family. “Frank” will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Evelyn Setters Carr; son Kevin Carr (Susan) of Plano, TX; two grandchildren Allison Carr and Brian Carr both of Plano, TX and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents “Frank” was preceded in death by his sister Dottye Dale. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00AM.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 5:00PM-8:00PM, both will be at First Church of God in Mt. Sterling. Committal to follow funeral at Machpelah Cemetery.

Officiating the service will be John Henry and Keith Ruthenburg. Pallbearers: Jeff Murphy, John Mahler, David Anderson, Nick Cannon and Greg Williamson. Honorary Pallbearers: Heritage Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to First Church of God.
