Charles Henry Mowers, 85, died 12 February 2019 at his home in Pocatello, surrounded by his wife of 64 years and family. Charles was born 27 June 1933 in Arimo, Idaho, first son of Isaac Henry and Edna Elizabeth Fink Mowers. He was raised in Hawkins Basin, Idaho.

He graduated from Arimo High School in 1951 and shortly there after began work at the Pacific Fruit Express in Pocatello, where he worked for 42 years. He served in the United States Army from May 1953 to May of 1955, serving most of his time at Fort Lewis Washinton. He married Helen Margret(Peggy) Green on September 25, 1954 in Mc Cammon.

This marriage was solemized in the Logan Utah Temple on 16 July 1965. They are the Parents of eight children. Charles Anthony{Cecelia} Mowers, Henry Isaac {Janet} Mowers, Steven Paul{Shauna} Mowers, Helen elizabeth{George} Mosier, Loretta Ann{ Scott} Huckstep, Sandra Louise Willis, Jessica Lynne{ Greg} Skinner.

, and Mitchell Ivan Mowers, deceased. He is also survived by his sister Etta Halling and Helen Allen. He has 33 grandchildren and 46 great grand children.

Charles was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints, serving in many capacities, including scoutmaster, Executive secretary,Ward Clerk,High Priest Group councilor and he served in a mission with his wife in the Pocatello Idaho mission. He loved to fish and hunt and was able to continue to do so with the help of his grandsons and his good neighbor Neil Christensen. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, sister Mearl Capell and brother Orvel Mowers.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the McCammon LDS Stake Center, with a viewing at 11:30a.m. to 12:45p.m. with Bishop Bill Jons conducting. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
