Charles “Charlie” Jon Airhart, 24, of Bozeman, passed away due to injuries from an auto accident on October 28, 2018. He was born April 25, 1994 in Bozeman to Craig and Angie (Parks) Airhart. Charlie attended Monforton Elementary School and Bozeman High, graduating in 2012.

He then went to work for the family business, Airhart Brothers Painting. At the family cabin, one of his favorite places in Montana, he snowmobiled, hunted, foraged mushrooms, picked huckleberries, and celebrated life with bonfires and beer.

He enjoyed traveling, especially with his sister, Madison. Together they made their way through Europe, visiting Spain, Portugal, Germany, Budapest, and France. Closer to home, they spent time together hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Charlie was a caring and compassionate person who had a smile that could light up any room. His artwork and silk-screened T-shirts will also be forever treasured. Charlie will be remembered by his large and loving family: his parents, Angie and Craig; his sister, Madison; his maternal grandparents, Chuck and Barb Parks of St. George, UT; his paternal grandparents, Jon and Janice Airhart of Mitchell, SD; his aunts, Heather (and Cory) Taylor of Los Angeles, CA, and Meagan (and Steve) Somerville of Mitchell, SD; his uncles Chad (and Julie) Airhart of Bozeman and Austin (and Nina) Parks of Baltimore, MD; and his many cousins and dear friends.

An open house to receive friends and family will be held beginning at noon on Thursday, November 1st at the family home. A private ceremony will be held Friday, November 2nd, with a celebration of life to be announced at a later time. Memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s name to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, 1549 E. Cameron Bridge Road, Bozeman, MT 59718.
