Charles L. “Chuck” Metz, 83, of Greensburg, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home. He was born on September 20, 1935, in Carnegie, PA, a son of the late Thomas Metz and Martha Lefebvre Metz. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed taxidermist.

He loved loved fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was the founding member of the Pennsylvania Sportsmen for the Disabled. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Jane Moriarity and Sandra Lee Metz; his brothers, Thomas, Ronald, Gene Metz.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna J. Johnston Metz; sisters, Martha Myers (Frank), Marcella Shutika (John) and Elizabeth Dobrowsky; a brother, Phillip Metz; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Sandy Robinson. There will be no public visitation and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pennsylvania Sportsmen for the Disabled or to Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, 135 Clelian Heights Lane, Greensburg, PA 15601.
